Langza village is one of the remote villages located in Spiti Valley in the Himalayan ranges of Himachal Pradesh. This village is famous for its scenic landscape and rich culture and traditions of the region. The village is located at a height of around 4400 feet above sea level. The Langza village is surrounded by the stunning snow covered mountain ranges, the charming valleys, the rocky hills, the rugged mountain terrain, and ancient monasteries. The village is overlooked by a large statue of Lord Buddha.
Langza is also known as the fossil village, as the region was once submerged under the Tethys Sea. Hence, marine fossils can be found all around the region which are around millions of years old. Visiting Langza will help you to look at the marine fossils of the region adding an exciting activity to indulge in this region.

In order to reach the village tourists will have to take a taxi or bus from Manali to Kaza, via the Manali-Leh Highway route. But this route is open only during the summer season. Another route is from Shimla, via Hindustan-Tibet Road (NH-22). This road is opened all throughout the year. From Kaza, Langza village is around 16 km away.

Chandratal Lake is situated a bit faraway from Kaza, it is located at a height of around 4300 feet above sea level. As the name suggests the shape of the lake is in moon shape.
