Kibber Village

Kibber is another remote village in Spiti Valley located at a height of around 4270 km above sea level. This village is filled with natural beauty, rich culture and traditions, and exotic mountain wildlife. If you aren’t aware, this village is in fact the only inhabited village located at the highest altitude where motorable road exits. This village is surrounded by the tallest mountains in the world, covered with snow all throughout the year. This region comprises of many dramatic rugged mountain ranges, deep gorges, and glaciers, thus providing opportunities for nature lovers to explore this region and chance for photographers to capture the best unique images of the region, so that travel fanatics are able to take a look at what they are missing. Nearby the Kibber Village, there is the Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary; wildlife lovers can visit this wildlife sanctuary to have a glimpse of the wild animals in the cold mountainous regions. Some of the wildlife here includes the snow leopard, Himalayan bear, Himalayan blue sheep, Tibetan wolf, etc. Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary are comprises of rare species of flora, and makes it the best spot for wildlife research. The Kibber village local people have traditional stone houses which are made in such a way to avoid cold climatic conditions. The village also comprises of many monasteries, this reflects the rich culture and tradition of the region that they have been following for generations.
