Dhankar Monastery is one of the ancient monasteries of the region. This monastery is situated in Dhankar village in Spiti Valley, which in the ancient times was like a capital of Spiti Valley. The Dhankar Monastery is situated at the top of a cliff at a height of around 3894 meters above sea level.
